Ala Modalaindi’s Tamil remake undergoes production

It has been heard for a while that the Telugu blockbuster Ala Modalaindi would be rebooted in the Tamil film industry as well. The time has come when the remake starring Gautham Karthik has become a reality.

The production house issued a statement, "The shooting of Tamil remake of 'Ala Modalaindi', which is being produced by Raviprasad Productions, has begun in full swing.” The Ravi Thyagarajan-directed film will also star Rakul Preet Singh and the rest of the cast is not finalised yet.

B.V. Nandini Reddy’s Ala Modalaindi which featured Nani and Nithya Menon was a blockbuster at the box-office. While the film was made with an investment of Rs. 4 crore, it grossed a massive Rs. 15 crore from the box-office collections. Gautham Kartik, who debuted with Mani Ratnam's Kadal, is also working on two more films, Sippai and Vai Raja Vai.
