Amala Paul wins the race for Dhruva Natchathiram?

The battleground was heated up and the contenders were Trisha and Amala Paul, since a long time now. Both of them were eyeing Gautham Menon's 'Dhruva Natchathiram to become the female lead opposite Suriya. Finally it seems the ball is in Amala’s court.

After hitting the filmmakers’ eyes with her award winning performance in Mynaa, she has been a top pick in the directors’ list which resulted in her latest projects like Iddarammayilatho and upcoming Thalaivaa. Now it would be a lifetime opportunity for the young actress to share screen space with Tollywood superstar Suriya. It has been heard that the director has opted for Amala as he thought that she is more suitable for the role than Trisha. An official confirmation on the announcement is still awaited.
