    Amitash Roped In For Hollywood Movie?

    Making his debut in the film Velai Illa Pattathari, actor Amitash has been roped in to play the lead in a Hollwood film. The actor played the antagonist in his first film. His Hollywood venture will be directed by Duane Adler who has worked on movies like Step Up and directed Make Your Move.

    According to City Express, the actor stated, “It is true. I am playing the lead in a Hollywood film, Heartbeats. The film is being directed by Adler, who is known for his work on films based on dance and music such as Step Up and Save the Last Dance. It is a dance film in which hip hop meets Bollywood”. He added, “I sent my dance and acting clip to Nalini Ratnam, who is the casting director of the film. I then travelled to Mumbai three or four times for auditions. I did three dance and acting auditions after which I was chosen for the role”.

    Talking about working with the choreographers, Amitash stated, “I will be working with Tessandra Chavez, an Emmy Award winner for dance choreography, and Champa Gopikrishna, who was one of the choreographers in Bajirao Mastani. I feel honoured and blessed to be a part of this venture”. The actor is currently working on a workshop for the film in Mumbai.
