Andrea Jeremiah Praises Filmmaker Vetri Maaran

Kollywood actress Andrea Jeremiah is known to have starred in movies such as Taramani, Thupparivaalan and Idhu Namma Aalu. She was last seen in the movie Aval. As it is known that the actress has been roped in to star in the upcoming movie ‘Vada Chennai’.

According to a news published on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, the actress will be portraying the character of a woman based in Chennai. Regarding the filmmaker of the movie Vetrimaaran, she said, “Many filmmakers cast based on anything - looks or even dates, but Vetri Maaran’s sense of casting is very interesting. The reason he cast me has less to do with the way I look”.

The actress further added, “He looks for characteristics in people that he wants in his characters. Given that he has written the role, and knows the psyche of the character if he finds that characteristic in an actor as a person, he’d cast the actor in that role. The look and everything else come second. I look at it as a very mature way of casting. Not many directors do that”. The actress will also be starring in another upcoming movie titled as ‘Vishwaroop 2’.
