Anjali And Athulya Ravi Roped In For Naadodigal 2

Director Samuthirakani has announced that he is coming up with his next film Naadodigal 2. The movie will star actor Sasikumar who features in the first part also. If you are wondering that the film will be a sequel to the 2009 film Naadodigal, then you are wrong as the director has claimed that it is not the one.

Talking about it, Samuthirakani said, "This one will have the flavour of Naadodigal, but is a completely different story.” He added, "Like that film, this one, too, is set in a town, and will talk about love and friendship. It will also touch upon the issue of caste.”

Samuthirakani has cast actress Anjali to play the female lead. Talking about Anjali and Sasikumar’s role in the flick, Samuthirakani said, "This might sound cliched, but both Anjali and Sasikumar have such strong roles that either of the two could be contenders for the National Award.” The movie will also feature Bharani and Namo Narayanan who were seen in the first part also. Athulya Ravi has also been cast in an important role in the flick. However, the director has said that she will not be paired opposite Bharani. The team will start shooting for the film from March this year.
