Aparna Balamurali Wants Do Strong Roles

Malayalam actress Aparna Balamurali made her Kollywood debut with the blockbuster 8 Thottakal. Though she had a small role in the film but it garnered her appreciation. Her role in the flick was loved by audience as well as critics.

“I have done a handful of movies in Malayalam. Though I am a newcomer in Kollywood, no one treated me like that. They treated me as an equal and when actors like Rajinikanth appreciated the film, it was overwhelming,” said the actress.

After 8 Thottakal, Aparna was approached by several Tamil filmmakers but she is not in a haste of doing movies. She said that she would wait for a right script rather than doing a ‘shoddy’ job. Balamurali has three Malayalam movies in her kitty. In one of the movies she will be seen as an auto driver. “When directors approach me, I take my own sweet time to say yes. I analyse the story and my character deeply before saying yes to a project. If debutant directors approach me, I would watch the short films that would show their prowess in filmmaking. It happened like that for 8 Thottakal,” she concluded.
