It was earlier in headlines that Sharran Kumar, who had played the lead in films like Inidhu Inidhu and Charles Shaffiq Karthika, is trying his hands in direction also.  The director has got actor Bharath on board to play the lead role. And now the latest development is that Mollywood actress Aparna Vinod has been roped in for the female lead in the film.

Aparna Kumar was earlier seen in Vijay’s Bairavaa in which she played medical student named Vaishali. Aparna is quite excited about it and confirms, “I did an important role in Bairavaa, but this film will mark my Kollywood debut as the lead heroine. I’ve done films in Malayalam, including Kohinoor with Asif Ali. When the makers of the Tamil film said that Bharath was the hero, I was quite excited. I’ve seen his Kandein Kadhalai. His 4 The People was a huge hit there, so he is quite popular in Mollywood. Also, this film is a dark thriller, a genre I love. So, I am excited to be part of this film”.

Notably, the actress will be playing a character that’s beyond her age. “I’m 22, but I play a mom and a teacher. The characterisation is very gripping and also challenging. I’m a theatre artiste and this role will give me a lot of scope to perform,” she says. The film will have music by Dharan and is expected to go on floors later this month in Kodaikanal.
