A.R. Rahman Showing Support Towards Tamil Nadu Protesters By Fasting

The topic of Jallikattu is only getting bigger and hotter with each passing day. Every day there is a new celebrity coming out to protest against the ban. Supreme Court banned the conduct of Jallikattu in 2014. Celebrities including Kamal Hassan and Nayanthara are batting for the centuries-old bull taming sport and here comes another celebrity joining the list of the supporters.

If reports are to be believed Oscar winning music director A.R.Rahman is supporting the protesters and will observe a day-long fast today. The renowned music director will observe fast along with members of the Nadigar Sangam -- the South Indian Artistes Association.  The fast will display the unity among the protestors.

About the fast, Rahman tweeted, "I'm fasting tomorrow to support the spirit of Tamil Nadu". People across the state are opposing the ban on the ancient bull-taming sport. Jallikattu is celebrated during Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu.
