Rajinikanth has been busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Kabali’. But ‘Enthiran 2’ has garnered more attention than his ongoing project. Speculations were rife that Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger would be playing the lead antagonist in the sequel to the hit 2010 Sci-fi. It was being said that he would be charging Rs. 100 crore for the film and demanded some crucial changes in the script. Looks like director S.Shankar, did not like his suggestions.

According to reports, the Terminator star won’t be part of the second instalment. Sources close to the director of the film revealed that the director along with superstar Rajinikanth met Arnold in US. He insisted Shankar to hire Hollywood scriptwriters for the flick, and threatened him of walking out of the project. Eventually, they both could not agree on terms and now the director will rope in a Bollywood actor for the role of Arnold. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

Reports suggest that Amy Jackson will be playing a robot in the film. A source close to the film’s unit revealed, "Amy Jackson will be playing the role of a robot, and she is paired opposite Chitti Also, talks are on for bringing in another Bollywood actress soon". The film went on floors on the birthday of the Lingaa actor. Speculations are rife that Neil Nitin Mukesh will also join the project soon.
