Actor Arulnithi believes that there is nothing melodramatic in his forthcoming movie, 'Brindavanam’, in which he will be seen playing the character of deaf and mute. It is the first time that the actor will be essaying the role of deaf and mute. The film, which is a comedy drama, is helmed by Radha Mohan.

Arulnithi said, "It's not going to be a very emotional film just because I play a deaf and mute character. It will have its emotional highs but at the same time it will be entertaining. It's not completely melodramatic. These qualities make the film family-friendly.”

Arulnithi said that he found it challenging to play a person who can neither speak nor hear. To pull off the character well, the 29-year-old star hired a special tutor for 10 days to learn sign language. But he said that owe a big thanks to his director who helped him play the character as he was well versed with the sign language. Director Radha Mohan was much aware with the sign language as also directed 'Mozhi' in which Jyothika played a deaf and mute character. The flick also stars Vivekh and Tanya Ravichandran, where Vivekh will be seen playing himself.
