Aruvi Was First Offered To These Actresses

There have been many times when some top actors have rejected many good offers. Filmmakers then approach other actors who create box office record. One such instance is the latest blockbuster and the much acclaimed film Aruvi. The film starred debutante Aditi Balan, who played the titular character in the movie.

The movie which was directed by debutant director Arun Prabhu Purushothaman emerged out as the best kollywood film. Aditi was talked for her power-packed performance in the flick. But, do you know that before approaching Aditi, the director went to three top actresses who turned down the offer?

Arun first offered the film to Nayanthara, Samantha and Shruti Haasan but all the three refused to do it due to some or the other reasons with one of them being their commitments to other projects. Also, there was a scene where the female lead was required to reduce a lot of weight and look sick. However, these actresses had apprehensions doing the scene and decided to turn down the offer. Who knew that the film will go on to become such a big hit!
