Atharvaa Gets His Head Tonsured For Boomerang

R. Kannan is all geared up with his upcoming directorial venture, ‘Boomerang’. The flick is an action thriller featuring Atharvaa, Megha Akash and Indhuja Ravichandran in the lead roles. Atharvaa, who will be playing three diferrent roles, is ready to portray the best of his side to the extent of going bald as well. The director is keen about Atharvaa getting his head tonsured, as he pools in the most proficient prosthetic makeup technicians, Preetisheel Singh and Mark Troy D'Souza  to get the look.

According to TOI, the filmmaker says, “These looks are key to the script, and we didn’t want to compromise on it. Mark and Preeti had done an elaborate prosthetic procedure for one of the looks. For the other, we wanted Atharvaa to shave off his hair completely. Initially, I was a little skeptical because he was working on a couple of other movies, and if he went bald, it would affect the shoot of his other films. But Atharvaa was quite sure about his decision, and he didn’t hesitate to shave his head”.

“It’s crucial to the script, and we filmed it towards the end of our final schedule. The shooting went on for about five days. Atharvaa had to wait for a couple of months for his hair to grow back so he could resume shoot on his other projects. After Imaikaa Nodigal, I’m sure his role in this film will fetch him praise,” he adds. Bomerang is produced under Masala Pix banner and is expected to hit the big screens in December, 2018.
