    Award winning editor TE Kishore passes away

    After battling for his life for the past few days, award winning film editor TE Kishore who was undergoing treatment for a brain stroke at a private hospital breathed his last on Friday. "Kishore was hospitalised few days ago after he suffered a brain stroke while working in a studio. He slipped into coma and failed to respond to the doctor's treatment," a family source told IANS.

    Kishore was working along with filmmaker Vetri Maaran when he suddenly fell ill. He apparently became unconscious and was rushed to hospital immediately. The doctors discovered a clot in his brain and performed a surgery. However, TE Kishore was in coma and was fighting for his life.

    TE Kishore has edited films like Edhir Neechal, NH 4, Eeram, Paradesi and Engeyum Appothum. The editor had received the National Award for Vetri Maaran's Aadukalam. Kishore had worked as an assistant editor for more than 70 Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films and became an independent editor with Eeram.
