Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad would love to do a Hollywood film

Basking in the success of the Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, writer KV Vijayendra Prasad says that while making the film, they never expected that it would break so many records.

“Honestly, we did not expect that the film would do so well. We were hopeful that the movie will be welcomed and enjoyed by the audience. But the overwhelming response is gratifying and at the same time humbling. It feels that God has been kind to all of us and has provided us encouragement for putting in hard work into what we believed in,” says the screenwriter and director adding that it’s ‘the Indianness and the emotional connect’ of the film he likes the most.

Given the way the film has been received well internationally too, asked if he will pen a story for a Hollywood film if he gets an offer, Prasad answers in affirmative. “Of course, I would love to do a Hollywood film, if given a chance. It would be a huge learning experience,” says the father of Baahubali director, SS Rajamouli.

Meanwhile, there are speculations about SS Rajamouli’s next movie. On whether he is writing any other film for his filmmaker son, he says, “I am writing other projects but as far as Rajamouli is concerned, he is on a break and will start planning for his project after that. None of us want to push him to get back to work just yet.”
