After a lot of speculations, the Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster Bangalore Days was launched in Chennai, with a small prayer ceremony. The ceremony  cleared the uncertainty over the venture, which was apparently announced almost a year ago. The yet-to-be-titled Tamil remake of the super hit flick will apparently feature an ensemble cast of Arya, Rana Daggubati, Simhaa, Sri Divya, Parvathy, Raai Laxmi and is expected to go on floors from the next month.

Though, the film is touted to be a bilingual, but the developers are yet to finalise the cast for the Telugu version. Earlier Sid and Samantha were roped in to play the lead roles in the film, but both reportedly walked out of the project after their bitter break-up. Since then, movie-buffs are wondering that who would replace the ‘beautiful pair.’ Meanwhile, the Tamil remake will be helmed by Bhaskar of 'Bommarillu' fame and Dil Raju is expected to co-produce the film.

Directed by Anjali Menon, Bangalore Days was one of the biggest Malayalam hits of 2014. Starring Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim, Fahadh Faasil, Isha Talwar, Parvathy and Nithya Menen, the movie revolved around three cousins who move to Bangalore from Kerala.
