Bharathiraja, Vijay Yesudas Shooting For ‘Padai Veeran’ In Theni

Portrayal of village has been an important aspect of filmmaker P. Bharathiraja’s movies and interestingly his next film, in which he is acting, is also being shot in a village. Titled Padai Veeran, the flick stars singer Vijay Yesudas as male lead. The shooting is going on in Theni currently.

Bharathiraja’s role in the flick has been kept under wraps as of now. “There are rumours that Bharathirajaa is playing a negative character in the film, but that is not true. While we want to keep the nature of his character a suspense, all we can reveal now is that he is playing an important role in the film”, an insider told TOI.

The actor-filmmaker will next start shooting for Old Man, in which he is acting as well as directing. About OM, the source said, “The team will be going to the UK to finish the remaining portions. New girl Nakshatra is the heroine and the music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The story revolves around an old man and his life, a lot like Muthal Mariyathai”.
