Censor Board Passes Vishnu Vishal-Sri Divya's ‘Maaveeran Kittu’ With U Certificate

Upcoming Tamil period drama ‘Maaveeran Kittu’ is helmed by filmmaker-screenwriter Suseenthiran of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ fame. Starring Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead roles, the flick is expected to hit the theatres on December 1. The latest we hear about the movie is that it has cleared the last deck for release.

According to recent media reports, the Censor certification process has been completed and the censor board has passed the flick with a clean U certificate. The flick is based on a true story and depicts the tale of a warrior who fought to uphold the rights of the Tamil people in the 80s.

The film’s lead actor Vishnu was last seen in comedy entertainer ‘Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran’, which released this past June. The flick also features R. Parthiepan and Soori in significant supporting roles. The movie is being produced by Icewear Chandrasamy, DN Thai Saravanan and Rajeevan. The music for the film has been rendered by D. Imman and lyrics have been penned by ‘Yugabharathi’.
