Chandran Gears For His Second Film

Chandran Gears For His Second Film

Chandran who made a stunning debut with Kayal which released in 2014 was away from the limelight for three years. The actor who did not have a single release after his debut is waiting for the release of his upcoming Rubaai. He talks about why he took so long to sign his second film.

“It’s after two and a half years that a film of mine is releasing. Rubaai’s release suffered a few setbacks because of issues like demonetisation and lack of screens. Also, I’m very choosy when it comes to my roles. I want to have a proper career graph so that when the audience think of me, they feel that I can do any kind of role. Even if it becomes one movie every year, as long as it’s a good movie, I’m happy about it,” said Chandran.

The movie revolves around the life of a lorry driver and the major events that take place in his life in four days. He adds, “It’s a very minimalistic character. The twists that happen when he falls in love with a girl, a street vendor and his sudden need for money form the plot. Although the film deals with money and greed, there is nothing preachy about it. It’s a feel good movie, with minimalistic and real characters.” Apart from Rubaai, Chandran has films like Graghanam, Thittam Pottu Thirudura Koottam and Party in his kitty.
