    Court dismisses plagiarism charges against Lingaa

    The makers of Rajnikanth starrer Lingaa have got a sigh of relief as the recently in news ‘plagiarism case’ against the film has been dismissed. The Madurai bench of Madras High Court issued the verdict.

    The petitioner K R Ravi Rathinam had filed a case alleging the producer and director of Lingaa of stealing the story of the film from another Tamil film. His petition stated that Lingaa’s plot has been stolen from Mullai Vanam 999 and hence the authorship should be seen through. However, the charges have now been dismissed and the film will release on the set date of 12th December. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka in lead along with Rajnikanth.
