Deepika Rangaraj Will Be Making Her Debut In Santhoshkumar's Directorial With The Rarest Role

These days a large number of short filmmakers are stepping into the silver screen by helming full scale movies. One of these short movie directors is filmmaker Santhoshkumar. The auteur has previously won many awards in the short film industry.

Santhoshkumar’s upcoming directorial is titled as ‘Aaradi’. The lead character of the movie is an Undertaker, who prepares dead bodies for burial or cremation and making arrangements for funerals. Moreover, the character will be portrayed by a debutant actress, which will be the rarest case of all. The debutant actress is Deepika Rangaraj, who will be playing the lead role. Regarding the movie, she was quoted as saying, “I tweaked the normal practice of a man who works as a mortician in a burial ground and made the story in such a way that a woman does it”.

The actress further added, “The kind of problems she faces in the society forms the crux. I personally feel that a woman can handle any kind of job even if it is physically demanding”. The script of ‘Aaradi’ is penned by Sakthivel.
