    Dhanush Clears He Does Not Own ‘Premam’ Remake Rights

    Earlier, it was reported that Vijay Sethupathi will once again team up with Dhanush for his next. Dhanush bankrolled his last offering, Vignesh Shivan directorial 'Naanum Rowdydhaan’. The film got a great response from the audience and did a great business at the box office. It was reported, that the duo will team up again for the remake of Mollywood blockbuster ‘Premam’. The reports have turned out to be false.

    According to reports, Dhanush has cleared the air by saying that he does not own the Tamil remake rights of the Alphonse Putharen directorial. The Maari actor clarified that he has not acquired the remake rights of ‘Premam’ during a chat with his fans on Twitter. Reports suggest that Selvaraghavan will helm the project of featuring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. It is not clear whether Dhanush will produce the venture or act in it.

    Speculations were that Hansika Motwani would play the female lead in the Tamil version of ‘Premam’. Nut, now it is clear that currently, it is not being remade in Tamil. However, it is being remade in Telugu with Naga Chaitanya in the lead and has been titled ‘Majnu’.
