    Dhanush Condoles His Fan’s Demise In The Sterlite Killings

    Actor Dhanush is currently in Paris preparing for the international project, ‘The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir’ but he is still connected to his fans back home. The actor took to Twitter and mourned the death of his fan, who died in the protests against the Sterlite copper plant in Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu. The incident has claimed the lives of 14 people this far.

    One of the members of Dhanush’s welfare association was among the civilians who lost his life during the protest. Dhanush posted a condolence message in Tamil on Twitter. It read, “The death of S.Ragu (a) Kaaliyappan has deeply saddened me. I would like to deliver my deepest condolences to his family. Once I return to India, I will visit his house and family members. I pray to God that his soul rests in peace (sic)”.

    Notably, the entire Tamil film industry stood in solidarity with the people of Tuticorin. They have also expressed their condolences for the people who died. Right from Kamal Haasan to Rajinikanth, celebs spoke in one voice and also criticised the act of state government.
