Dhanush Croons Peppy Track For Yaakkai

Maari actor Dhanush has sung a peppy number for the film 'Yaakkai'. The movie has been directed by Kulandai Vellappan with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. According to a source close to the film’s unit, “Dhanush came to the studio to record the peppy number. He has sung for Yuvan after a long gap. His earlier number for Yuvan, Naatusarakku from the film Pudukottaiyilirundu Saravanan (2004), went on to become a big hit. If all goes well, this too will emerge a hit”.

The director also confirmed the news by saying, “It is true. Dhanush has sung a song for us. The song was penned by director Vignesh Shivan. Yuvan, who sung the track, felt that this song would sound great in Dhanush’s voice. So, we requested Dhanush and he obliged”.

Kulandai also spoke about the reason why Yuvan chose Dhanush for the song. "He believes that Dhanush’s voice has that element of sincerity and would be able to convince listeners that he was in a state of anxiety and pain. So, he wanted Dhanush to sing the song. It is a peppy number and has come out really well”, the director explained.
