Here's Who Will Be Playing Ranbir Kapoor's Character In Barfi's Tamil Remake!

Rumour mills are churning that Kollywood actor, Dhanush will soon be seen playing the lead in the remake of ‘Barfi!’.  He had been in negotiations to earn the remake rights of the Bollywood’s blockbuster. Recently the actor has finally secured the rights, he might produce as well as act in the remake.

Of late, a source unveiled that, “The national award winner is likely to reprise the role of Ranbir in the Tamil version; after all the Aadukalam actor is game for challenging characters”. Dhanush had shown an early interest in making a Tamil version of the film in an earlier interview. He believed that since human emotions are more or less the same everywhere, the movie’s subject would be fit for Tamil audience as well.  Dhanush had also revealed how he loved Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor’s performance.

‘Barfi!’ is originally directed by Anurag Basu and stars Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead with Ileana playing a supporting role. The film was also nominated for Oscars (Best Foreign Language Film category) in 2012. However, It has won many awards across India.
