Dhanush turns 31, wife Ash throws a surprise B’day bash!

Kollywood superstar Dhanush is turning a year older today! The actor, who is currently working on his upcoming project Shamitabh with R. Balakrishnan, flew all the way to Chennai to seek his parents’ blessings. Apparently, his wife Aishwarya surprised him with a wonderful birthday bash, attended by his close friends from industry and family members!

“Dhanush had come home to spend time with his parents and wife Aishwarya for his birthday. His wife threw him a surprise birthday party here last night and his close friends from the industry along with his family members were also present,” a source says. The birthday celebration was attended by Tamil actors Simbu, Suriya, Surabhi and Amala Paul along with Dhanush’s brother Selvaraghavan and sister-in-law Geethanjali Selvaraghavan.

“A 26-kg eggless cake was cut by Dhanush at the party to mark the success of his latest Tamil release,” the source added. The award winning actor is currently basking in the success of his 25th film Velaiyilla Pattathari. The film is turning out to be a tremendous hit and Dhanush is overjoyed with its response. When asked about his achievement, Dhanush thanked the almighty and his fans who loved him and made him a star.
