Dhanush’s ‘Kolaveri Di’ Surpasses 100 Million Views On YouTube

A song was released on YouTube on November 16, 2011. Such was the music, lyrics and video of the song that it instantly became a rage on the social networking websites and also created records on YouTube. We are talking about Dhanush’s hit chartbuster ‘Kolaveri Di’ from the movie ‘3’.

According to reports, the Anirudh Ravichander composed song has crossed the 100 million mark on YouTube. The viewcount crossed the 100 million mark on Wednesday. The Anegan actor sung the song as well as penned down its lyrics. The video of the song was shot by his wife Aishwarya in a very unique manner. It showed an unplugged recording at a studio which caught the attention of the viewers.

Reportedly, it has become the first Indian video to cross 100 million views on YouTube. ‘Kolaveri’ is a common slang in Tamil used to normally use to silence a cranky person in a group. The duo of Anirudh and Dhanush has also worked together in the actor’s upcoming film ‘Thanga Magan’. People are expecting them to deliver another great song.
