    Dhanush’s ‘Vada Chennai’ To Revive 1970s Era

    Dhanush has become a personality that needs no introduction. This 33-year-old actor is busy in the filming of his upcoming cinematic, titled ‘Vada Chennai’. Allegedly, the movie will show the 1970s era, specifically 1977.

    The forthcoming Tamil gangster film is directed by Vetrimaaran and features Dhanush in the lead role with Amala Paul and Andrea Jeremiah in other major roles. Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be making an extended cameo in the movie. ‘Vada Chennai’ will show the underworld politics of the north Chennai from 1977 to 2007.

    This film marks third collaboration between Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran. His other films with this director are ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Polladhavan’. Production for ‘Vada Chennai’ began on June 22. It is bankrolled as a trilogy by A. Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions and Dhanush's Wunderbar Films with Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company.
