Did Kalaipuli S Thanu Approach S.S Rajamouli To Direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay?

The audio launch of Bahubali 2 which took place on April 9, 2017 was a barrel of fun. It was certainly one of the biggest in terms of star power and frenzy. The entire team of the most awaited movie, including S.S Rajamouli, Prabhas, Anushka, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Nassar and others, were present at the launch.

The crowd was entertained with musical performances, dance performances, witty questions related to the movie and others. Taking the centre stage was Kalaipuli S Thanu, the producer of the movie, who showered heaps of praises on S.S Rajamouli, the director of the movie, for his intense work. However, the most out of the blue thing that happened in the event was a piece of information that Thanu shared with all those who were present at the launch.

Speaking at the event, Kalaipuli said that he approached the Naan Ee director to helm a movie featuring Ilayathalapathy Vijay way back in 2004. But, things did not fell at the right place then as Rajamouli was busy with other projects. It would be a dream come for the National Award Winner producer if Magadeera director agrees to direct a flick starring Ilayathalapathy.
