Did Nassar continue shooting for Uttama Villain while his son was struggling for life?

We all are aware that ace actor Nassar is playing a significant role in Kamal Haasan-starrer Uttama Villain, but little did we know that the versatile actor was actually present on the sets while his son was struggling for life.  The unfortunate incident happened when his son met with an accident near Mahabalipuram. The accident not only injured him badly but also took the lives of three of his friends.

Recalling his difficult times, Nassar says, "I wanted to go back to the set and act as I couldn't stay at the hospital. Since I wanted to distract myself from the accident, I wanted to act. Kamal sir made sure that happened even though my character had nothing to do with that day's schedule. The next day, a whole set was erected just because of me and he(Kamal) lost lakhs of rupees just to accommodate my character when initially my portions weren't scheduled on that particular day."

Nassar tried hard to hide his tears, but his wet eyes revealed more about his bitter experience than he did. His son Faizal had to go under the knife, but is completely recovered now. Hats off to Nassar for his patience and courage.
