Director Kannan Ropes In Upen Patel For Negative Role

Bollywood actor Upen Patel has returned to K-town for a negative role. According to reports, director Kannan has roped in Upen for a currently untitled project. The lead roles in the film will be played by Atharvaa and Megha Akash. Though Upen has been quite picky about his roles, the director was able to convince him to work for his flick.

Talking about how Upen said yes for the project, the director revealed that the villain in the film has a strong character with a lot of scope for performance. “I was looking out for the best person to play this role and when I got the opportunity to narrate the script to Upen Patel. He just loved it. He said he has been getting a lot of villain roles but none excited him like this one”, Kanan shared. He added, “The climax sequence between Upen and Atharvaa will be the highlight of the movie”.

Upen was last seen in ‘Ek Haseena Thi Ek Deewana Tha’ which came out last year. His previous Tamil venture, ‘I’, was directed by Shankar and starred Vikram, Amy Jackson and Suresh Gopi. On the other hand, Atharvaa was last seen in ‘Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum’ and is currently working on four projects.
