Dulquer And Nithya Trump Aditya And Shraddha

Mani Ratnam, known for his films O Kadhal Kanmani and Roja, has stated that the Hindi remake of his film OK Kanmani should have Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen and no one else. Dulquer and Nithya were the lead in the original Tamil romantic comedy. The remake will supposedly be directed by Shaad Ali.

Shaad Ali has previously directed films like Kill Dil and the 2007 film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The director was guided and supported by Mani Ratnam himself. It was speculated that the Hindi remake will have Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the leading roles. The duo was seen together in Aashiqui 2.

According to reports, Mani Ratnam feels that the original pairing of Dulquer And Nithya is irreplaceable and that they would be best suited for the Hindi remake as well. OK Kanmani also starred Leela Samson, Prakash Raj and Prabhu Lakshman. The movie was well received. Official announcements regarding the project and the cast will be made soon.
