Rajinikanth’s much awaited film ‘Enthiran 2’ will go on floors today. The film was supposed to kick-start from December 12, on the birthday of the Superstar, but due to appalling state of the people caused by heavy rain, the launch of the film was postponed. The weather conditions are better now and thus the film will be launched today.

The director of the film S. Shankar confirmed the news through his Twitter account. He tweeted, "2.0 shoot starts from tomorrow ... Excited!!!”.  According to reports, the shoot will take place at a grand set erected in the outskirts of Chennai at EVP.

Reportedly, the first schedule of the flick will go on for 10 days. It is known that the film is being made with a mega budget of Rs. 250 crore. Sources close to the film’s unit reveal that the director has splurged Rs. 1 crore each for 10 vehicles that will be used in the sequel of 2010 hit sci-fi ‘Enthiran’.  Speculations are rife that Amy Jackson will be playing a robot in the film. After the exit of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Akshay Kumar are being linked with the role of the antagonist.
