After the controversial tweet regarding Vijay’s ‘Theri’ from director Ameer’s account, the filmmaker has clarified that the post was made from a fake account. The tweet read, “I have bought #Theri Madurai rights for 7 Cr huge drop after the opening day. 50% loss expected will protest against Thanu&co soon”.

Ameer recently shared a press note that set things right and put an end to the discussion. “I would like to convey the following to all media friends, film personalities and Vijay fans. I am aware of the release problems for Theri and about few wrong informations spread from day 1, which have been induced by some people who are against Vijay’s growth”, the filmmaker said. The press note further read, “At the same time, I came to know about the news being reported regarding Theri film distribution through some fake Twitter page in my name, today. I would like to confirm you all that I don’t have an official Facebook or Twitter account and some pessimist has done it”.

‘Theri’ is Vijay’s 59th film and has been doing quite well at the box office. Vijay fans have shown their love for the actor once again. The movie has been directed by Atlee Kumar and stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Amy Jackson and Raadhika Sarathkumar, alongside Vijay.
