Filmmaker Bharathiraja Talks About Kamal Haasan And Rajinikanth’s Entry Into Politics

Tamil Nadu has seen many filmmakers turning into politics. And now the latest actors who have joined politics include Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth . Filmmaker Bharathiraja who has worked with the superstars in 1970’s in films like 16 Vayadhinile and Sigappu Rojakkal was asked about his thoughts on the two stars starting political parties of their own and being set to embark on their official political journeys soon.

“In a democracy, anybody can choose to do whatever he or she wants. I decided to just remain as a filmmaker, so I didn’t even think about it. But they felt like they wanted to do something for the state, so they began a party,” said Bharathiraja.

The ace director said that he would support them only when they announce their respective party’s ideologies and principles. According to reports, Kamal will reveal his political party’s name on February 21 and will also begin a state-wise tour on the same day. He will begin his journey from his hometown Ramanathapuram and then will visit people from different states.
