Ganesh Venkatraman Has Back-to-Back Releases This Year

Actor Ganesh Venkatraman has line up of releases this year. His Inayathalam and 7 Naatkal are up for release this week. Apart from these, he will also be seen in Bollywood movie Guns of Banaras, which is a remake of Tamil film Polladhavan. The movie which was pending for a very long time will hit the theatres in August.

The actor will essay the role of undercover cop in Inayathalam, while in 7 Naatkal he will be seen in a salt-n-pepper look.  In Inayathalam, which is helmed by debutant duo Shankar-Suresh, Ganesh will not be seen as a usual khaki-clad officer but will dress like a corporate officer. “He’s not the routine khaki-clad officer. He dresses more like someone working for a corporate office, with formal clothes like suits! We went and checked how the cybercrime division in Chennai works,” said the actor about his look in the film.

The actor marks his Bollywood debut with Guns of Banaras in which he shared the screen space with late Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna. Reminiscing about Vinod, he says, “I had the advantage of speaking Hindi and Tamil fluently, so I was able to mingle with everyone there. We would meet at breakfast, and he’d always be calm and spiritually-inclined.... he explained to me how Kasi became a holy city! He also used to talk about his earlier days when they shot their films at  Chennai studios and recall his memories. He’d always talk about Kamal Haasan sir and Telugu actor Venkatesh sir as well.”
