Gautami Denies Any Affiliation To Kamal Haasan's Political Party

Recently, Kollywood star Kamal Haasan took the decision to join politics and also announce his own political party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’. The 63-year-old star is known to have ended his relationship with Gautami Tadimalla in 2016. According to a story published on timesofindia.indiatimes.com, Gautami was said to be affiliated with the newly formed political party by AIADMK members.

Now, Gautami posted a blog denying any affiliation to Kamal Haasan’s ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ political party. In her blog, she also stated the reason behind her separation which read as “That rests entirely on Mr. Haasan's change in commitment and my inability to accept that compromise and destroy my self-respect”. She further stated that Kamal’s daughters Shruti and Akshara had no role in her separation.

Gautami further added that she is yet to receive her remuneration as a costume designer in Kamal Haasan starrer movies such as Dasavatharam and Vishwaroopam. She ended her blog stating, “I have absolutely nothing to do with him or his actions in any way - professionally, personally, politically or otherwise”.
