Gautham Karthik Talks About His Relationship With Priya Anand

Gautham Karthik, whose films in the past couldn’t fare well at the box office, is currently basking in the success of his recently-released flick ‘Rangoon’. Recently, the actor touched upon his career, his father and famous hero Karthik’s influence, and relationship with Priya Anand. Gautham confessed that he had made wrong choices.

“Appa has brought me up to be  independent. He calls me thambi! Just like he came up in a hard way, he wants me to learn on my own. He never listens to my scripts... I choose them myself. I have made several wrong judgments and I’ll try and rectify them from now on. I still have a long way to go in films”, Gautham revealed.

The 27-year-old actor talked about Bejoy Nambiar's upcoming remake of ‘Agni Natchathiram’, which starred his father in the lead role. “My dad is truly a legend and I have not watched many movies of his, except a few, including Agni Natchathiram. I will not touch it or be a part of its remake as it is a masterpiece of my dad”.

Gautham also touched upon relationship with his Muthuramalingam co-star Priya Anand. He said, “I know Priya and her family even before Kadal happened. She is my closest friend and we hang around together at coffee shops and malls. I want to be clear that I am not in a relationship with anyone. I am single”. The actor revealed having no plans of getting hitched until he turns 35. He said his will surely be a love marriage.
