After playing a soft-hearted local gangster in ‘Vikram Vedha’, Vijay Sethupathi returns as a stylish don in ‘Junga’. The movie which is directed by Gokul is believed to be a costliest film in his career. It is said that the flick is made on a budget of Rs. 20 crore. However, instead of looking for other producers, the Kavan actor decided to produce it himself.

When asked from Gokul why Vijay decided to produce the flick himself, he said, “After we completed Idharkkuthaane Aasai Pattai Balakumara, Vijay Sethupathi sir had expressed his interest to collaborate with me again. I told him that I would approach him with a suitable script. When Junga’s script got ready, I narrated the story. After a few minutes of silence, he said he would himself produce the flick since the budget crossed more than `20 crore as budget! Sethupathi knows that the project involves a huge sum and didn’t want to put other producers under the knife. He said he’d come forward to produce it, so that the film becomes his responsibility.”

Sources have said that Sethu will be essaying the role of an international don in the movie. About 60 percent of the flick will be shot in France, while the rest will be shot in Chennai, Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, etc. Actress Sayyeshaa has been roped in to star opposite Vijay.
