I Don’t Want To Play The Clichéd Bubbly Girl Roles, Says Malavika Nair

Actress Malavika Nair, who marked her cinematic debut with Cuckoo, took a long time off. Well, the good news is that she is back with a bang after a hiatus of three years. Fans, you may get to see her more often on the screen as she has given a nod for her next Tamil project.

On being asked why she is choosy about her characters in the film, the 17-year-old actress says, "I was focusing on my studies, and that's the reason I was not able to listen to scripts after Cuckoo. I did a couple of Telugu films in between. More than all this, I want to do interesting roles and I really do not want to play the cliched bubbly girl roles. That's the reason I am very choosy about my films."

In Cuckoo Malavika played a visually challenged girl and now she will seen opposite Veera in Arasiyalla Idhellam Saadharanamappa, helmed by Avinash Hariharan. Presently, she is in Pondicherry shooting for the film. She is playing an uber-cool extraordinary character in this film.
