I Won't Say It Is A Powerful Character: Chaya Singh On Her Role In Dhanush’s ‘Power Paandi’

Actor Dhanush has always shared his desire to work as a filmmaker and is now all set to make his directorial debut with ‘Power Paandi’. The movie stars actor Rajkiran in the lead role and will also feature Prasanna and Chaya Singh in pivotal roles. Recently, Chaya touched upon the character she plays in the flick.

“I am playing Prasanna's pair in the film. I won't say it is a powerful character”, Chaya stated, adding, “Rajkiran sir's character will be powerful in the film and people are going to enjoy it. I was the heroine of Dhanush's first film out of his home production. I am also going to make a comeback quite sometime after 'Idhu Karthirvelan Kadhal'. I felt it will be a good comeback and accepted the offer. It's a very friendly character that I play in the film”.

Chaya also talked about working with Dhanush. She said, “As a person, Dhanush is the same as he was 13 years before. Down to earth, committed and he is very stubborn as a director in getting things done. He will not get tired with number of takes and will never compromise on quality. He is grown as an artist and as a filmmaker. But as a human being he is the same nice person”.

On a related note, Sean Roldan will render the music for ‘Power Paandi’. The film will be bankrolled by Dhanush's home production Wunderbar Films. It might interest you to know that Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja ventured into direction with ‘En Rasavin Manasile’ (1991), which also starred Rajkiran in the lead.
