Idhu Namma Aalu Rocks Box Office In Its First Weekend

Silambarasan starrer Idhu Namma Aalu is garnering praise from audiences since its release on May 27. The Thani Oruvan actress, Nayanthara stars opposite Simbu in the movie. It is a romantic comedy from Pandiraj and is said to have milked Rs 4 crores on its opening day in Tamil Nadu alone.

Furthermore, the report suggests that the movie in its first three days of weekend was screened over 281 shows across 17 theatres in the city. And this was not it, the movie recorded superb occupancy rate of 97 percent during this period. Mostly, it was the practice of word of mouth that kept the auditorium filled.

Silambarasan will be next seen in Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada, opposite budding star Manjima Mohan. The flick is written directed by multi talented Gautham Menon, in which the music is given by Oscar laureate A. R. Rahman. The camera work is done by Dan Macarthur and produced under Photon Kathaas.
