If My Body Looks A Little More Spectacular, I Can’t Help It: Shruti Haasan

The year has been so far gone well for the beautiful actress Shruti Haasan, who had two releases this year. While Telugu project, Katamarayudu opposite Pawan Kalyan, released in March and became one of the superhit films of the year, her Bollywood film Behen Hogi Teri opposite Rajkummar Rao also fared well at the box-office. The actress is quite vocal about relevant issues and never fears to bare it all on screen.

In a recent interview, the actress opens up on how she has no qualms with her body, and is proud of it. When she was asked about her dare-bare attitude when it comes to photo shoots and magazine covers, she said, “Google any other actress in Bollywood, they all have done the same thing. If my body looks a little more spectacular, I can’t help it! (laughs) I am proud of my body. Some days it is perfect; some other days it’s not.  To me, sensuality is another aspect of the human personality. I am not secretive, not frustrated or imbalanced. I believe in owning my body and not going by other people’s perception of it”.

The actress is currently occupied with Sabaash Naidu, to be directed and co-produced by her father Kamal Haasan. The spy comedy-adventure film will see Shruti reprising the role of Balram Naidu (RAW Officer), which is a spinoff of one of the characters which Kamal played in Dasavathaaram in 2008. The film is slated for a November release in three languages, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
