Ilaiyaraaja to have a concert in London

Composer, singer and lyricistIlaiyaraaja has found fans in London. The singing maestro who goes to London for composing, recording and mixing his songs will now be performing there. The concert will last for five hours and will have O2 Arena as its venue. Ilaiyaraaja talked to the media, "We have short-listed 43 songs to play at theconcertand are currently rehearsing them. The rehearsals are taking quite a bit of time as we want to reproduce to perfection the sound quality of the originals.”

He continued his statement, “The reproduction is taking us the time it takes to compose four new songs. In fact, even I'm amazed at how I had managed to compose these songs at a faster pace the first time.” The five hour concert will have a total of 19 singers and will be attended by Ilaiyaraaja's friend Kamal Haasan. Meanwhile, Kamal sent a teaser for his friend from the sets of his upcoming filmVishwaroopam II that says,"I've hurt myself while doing stunts for Vishwaroopam II, but I'm not bothered as I have Ilaiyaraaja's music to speed up the healing process." Hope the music sensation makes his audience reach the other world with his compositions.
