Ilaiyaraaja suffers cardiac arrest

Veteran Southern music composer Ilaiyaraaja has suffered a heart attack at his residence yesterday. The composer is presently going through a treatment at a hospital in Chennai. Ilaiyaraaja has three children, Karthik Raja, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Bhavatharini, who all are a part of the Southern film industry.

Prayers are pouring in for the genius and hopefully he will get well soon. The 70-year-old musician last composed tunes for Thalaimuraigal which was released recently and the music of the movie has been loved by one and all. The maestro has composed over 4500 songs and provided film scores in more than 950 Indian films in different languages.
