Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith are set to play a cop in their respective next

It seems that after Suriya, many more actors in South are willing to play the role of a cop in their flicks. Singam and Singam 2 presented Suriya in khakhi and now Vijay will be seen portraying a policeman in Jilla. Ajith is another South Indian star actor who too will appear as a police officer in his upcoming movie with Vishnuvardhan.

An insider confirmed about Vijay, “Jilla has a cop element. Recently, a scene resembling a felicitation function, involving several junior artists in police uniform, was shot in the city. In the last couple of days, Vijay has joined the team and is shooting for the scenes that feature him as a cop.” And a source close to Thala said that he would enact a cop character in some parts of the story and not throughout the film.
