Debutant director J. Julian Prakash is making a bold move to make a film on a controversial subject of Jallikattu. The traditional bull fighting sport that is widely celebrated in Tamil Nadu has been banned by the apex court for now. The decision came sighting the health hazard it throws, plus, the court felt that it was cruel on animal part.

The director has brought in Yuvan and Anukrishna for the lead roles and will be engaged playing the first version of Jallikattu, which is Vadam Jallikattu. “It was the earliest form of Jallikattu that was played in Tamil Nadu. Here, the bull fighter and the bull will stand opposite each other and fight it out. But overtime, they changed the format of the game. But we wanted to bring it back on screen", explained Julian.

He wasn’t dither by the fact that his movie may face backlash due to its controversial subject line. However, he said, "I haven't touched upon this controversy. Even if my film lands into some trouble, I am ready to face it". Julian did add that it was shame that we wouldn’t be celebrating their traditional festival no more.
