Jackie Shroff Happy To Play Baddie In C.V. Kumar’s 'Mayavan'

After bankrolling many successful projects like ‘Pizza’, ‘Soodhu Kavvum’, ‘Mundasupatti’ and many others, producer C.V. Kumar is set to make his directorial debut with 'Mayavan'. He roped in veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff to play the antagonist in the film. The actor will start shooting for the film from April 4.

The 59 year-old actor said that he is quite happy playing the villain in the flick. He said, “I am delighted to be a part of this film. There is poetry and prose in every language, and not knowing the language can never be a handicap if you can relate to the story and sentiments expressed in the film. CV Kumar narrated the story so well that I was hooked to the subject and my role in it”.

The actor will be returning to Kollywood after quite some time with this film. The film will feature Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi as the lead pair. Nalan Kumarasamy has scripted the film, touted to be a commercial entertainer.
