Jayalalithaa, MGR To Be Seen In Animated Sequel Ulagam

Jayalalithaa and matinee idol MGR, may have left the world, however, latest news reveals that the two icons are set to share screen space together even after their death. It has been heard that former CM J. Jayalalithaa, who has acted in 28 films with MGR will be paired to the actor in the animated film Kizhakku Apricavil Raju. The film is a sequel to MGR’s 1973 blockbuster film Ulagam Suttrum Vaaliban.

It was helmed and bankrolled by MGR himself. Moreover, it has been learned that it was MGR’s dream to make the sequel Kizhakku soon after USV’s enormous success.  However, the actor-turned politician couldn’t pursue his dream. But son of late comedian Isari Velan namely Isari Ganesh has taken the responsibility on his shoulder.

Isari, who is a close aide to the late MGR is going to make the film in animation format. Further, Ganesh said, “MGR and Jayalalithaa made a great pair and both shared the same ideals. People are ready to watch them on screen anytime. The film will have MGR’s successful commercial formula and Jayalalithaa’s portion will have an equal bearing on the script. The screenplay is written to suit the present day audiences.  Songs play a very important role in MGR’s movies. KAR is no different. For the first time, Vairamuthu sir has penned the lyrics for a MGR flick”.
