‘Joker’ Is No Joke

The political satire from Raju Murugan is an official hit. If the collection of the movies is kept in mind and the flick entering in to successful third week is self evident. It is interesting to note that the movie doesn’t have any big stars in it and with few screen release.

 “Joker has grossed approximately Rs 4.9 crores in Tamil Nadu so far. The film did not get the 30% Entertainment Tax exemption granted by Tami Nadu State Government as the title is not a Tamil word. Despite this the film has been declared as profitable to all stakeholders”, said a trade source.

The movie has received positive feedback form even politicians with different ideologies. It is being praised by social activists and movie critics as well. The crucial characters in the Joker are played by Guru Somasundaram, Ramya Pandian, Gaythri Krishna, and Mu. Ramasamy.
