K. Bhagyaraj To Play Villain In Thupparivaalan

Celebrated screenplay writer-actor Bhagyaraj has been brought in to play antagonist for Thupparivaalan. The reports suggest that Mysskin has convinced the veteran to play the negative role, after a gap of 36 years. It was Vidiyum Varai Kaathiru in which he last played an evil character.

“Bhagyaraj plays a stylish elite character, and will be part of a villainous gang. Yes, his role will have shades of grey, if not a hardcore villain”, a close source to production unit revealed. Early in his career, Bhagyaraj tried negative roles in movies such as Kanni Paruvathile but, he then moved to protagonist characters and direction.

It is no surprise for many though, as Mysskin earlier called upon hero and director Pandiayarajan for a powerful villain act in his flick, Anjathey. Thupparivaalan has Vishal, Vinay Rai, Prasanna, Akshara Haasan, Anu Emmanuel and Andrea Jeremiah as the lead cast members. The film is full of action and clash between the good and evil of the society.
